Emmie is a two-year-old Lab mix who was rescued just before Christmas from an area shelter. Emmie  was pregnant and needed emergency surgery to birth her puppies. Sadly, none survived, but Emmie  did and was immediately scooped up by J & Co.

Emmie  is crate-trained and dog friendly. She gets along beautifully with the 80 lb. resident dog in her foster household. She's a big mush and will cuddle with you all day, but will play when you want to as well. She's fine with people and dogs in the house. Outside, Emmie  can be barky, and her nervousness at being out in the world is something her foster family continues to work on. Emmie is smart and a resilient and continues to progress as a family member in her foster household.

About J & Co Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

J & Co Rescue specializes in rescuing dogs in immediate danger - dogs in urgent need of medical care, facing euthanization due to lack of shelter space, dogs not faring well in a shelter environment, etc. We pull dogs of all breeds, ages & sizes and place them with a preapproved foster family that can meet the needs of the dog. Shelters have limited space, limited time and limited resources for their incoming - we pull the dogs from the shelter environment to give them the medical care, time and home/family environment needed to prepare them for their forever home!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We try to attend as many local events we can - please check out our website at www.jandcorescue.weebly.com or follow our facebook page for upcoming schedules! If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, a "meet" can be arranged with the foster family.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters will need to fill out an application which will require personal references, a vet reference and a home visit. Our adoption fees vary from $225-$350 depending on the age of the dog. All dogs are UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered & microchipped prior to adoption. We are an all volunteer organization and try to respond as quickly as possibly!
