Hazel's Story...
Hi, I'm Hazel! I'm a 4 year old Minature Pinscher and I'm about 17 pounds. I'm an active girl with a great personality. I'm known to be pretty funny, too! hey, what dog do you know who dances for her dinner? I love to play with toys and run in the yard (fenced-in, please!), but I also like to get cozy in a nice blanket, too. I like to go on walks but do need some work on my leash since I think it's super fun to chase squirrels! I know a couple commands and working hard on recall, but obedience training would be a great idea to help me improve my manners. I'd be good as an only pet or in a home with another confident dog who is bigger than I am. I tend to get a little bossy with smaller dogs. Cats are ok with me as long as they don't mind being chased. Since I'm small and spicy, older kids would be the best fit. I am not crate trained and am generally good with house training, but sometimes I have an accident. Nothing a little more training and lots of love can't fix pretty quick! I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. My adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt me here: https://rescueofhope.com/ adoption-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Grand Rapids Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
