Romeo's Story...
What goes better together than cookies and milk? Cookie and Romeo! We are senior BFFs looking to live out our golden years in comfort and style. I'm Cookie, a terrier gal with spunk to spare. My buddy Romeo is a bashful boy in an adorable Chihuahua package. Romeo relies on my confidence and gusto, which is why we're an inseparable pair. He's pretty quiet most of the time and may take a bit to warm up to humans. Me? well I'm not afraid to snark at you if I don't want to be moved or bothered. A gal's gotta have boundaries, ya know! Since we're older, we mostly like to lounge around together, but we like a good snack once in awhile too. We're both house trained, crate trained, and walk nicely on our leashes. We're fine with other dogs in the house as long as they're calm and understand we're retired. We also do just fine with cats. Our foster mom isn't sure about us around cats since she hasn't seen it before. Since we're ready for the retired life, a house without kids would be best. We're up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed and neutered. Our adoption fee is only $250 for the both of us! Apply to adopt us here: https://rescueofhope.com/adopt ion-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Romeo, a Grand Rapids Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
