Callie is a female Flat Coat Retriever Mix, around 8 years old who had a rough life previously. Callie was allowed to run loose outside at her previous home and was hit by a car twice. This poor girl had to have both her hip repaired and her tibia(lower bone) in her other back leg. She had multiple surgeries and couldn't walk for months but is now walking beautifully. She truly is a miracle dog!
Callie is such a sweet and grateful girl. She's wonderful in the house, is completely housebroken and a non-chewer. She does great with kids, cats and other dogs and is very mellow. She gets most excited at feeding time and will talk to you and jump up and down to let you know! If you're wanting to adopt a sweet soul, Callie is your girl. Callie is not a dog who needs or wants long leash walks. We've had several people inquire who want a dog they can jog or walk long walks with. Callie only walks leisurely outside then wants to come back inside. She's not an active dog.
