My story

Looking for a happy dog? Well, Darrell just might be your fellow. This adorable 10 month old Manchester Terrier mix was rescued when he was found as a starving puppy eating from a pig pen. He was scooped up and taken to a home where he received the loving care and medical attention he needed. No wonder he is happy now! Darrell enjoys life and loves all people, other dogs and is good with cats. He is being fostered by a veterinarian where he has been crate trained, leash-trained and socialized with people and other animals. He’s only 28 pounds, so he is the perfect size for a hike, a ride in the car or a snuggle on the couch. He is a high-energy little guy, so a home with older children or an active family would suit him perfectly. He has a tendency to want to jump and that is being worked on, but until he learns to keep “four on the floor” a home with small children would not be a good fit.

Darrell is about 10 months old, so he will remain small. He is such a fun fellow and is sure to bring lots of laughter and joy to the right family. He is vetted and chipped.
