My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An adoption application on WYATT can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com
Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.

WYATT is a gentleman in every sense of the word. His lucky adopters will be blessed enough to get a gorgeous dog who is house trained, walks beautifully on leash, rides calmly in the car, and doesn't chew things that don't belong to him! He is calm and friendly with all he meets. He gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs. He will do a little playing, but isn't rambunctious. Lounging and watching TV is more his style. He is always ready for snuggle time or any sort of petting. He thoroughly enjoys walks around the neighborhood, however he has no desire to run 10ks. WYATT doesn't currently live with any kitty cats, but we are more than happy to cat test him if his ideal forever family has feline members. We are confident he will be 100% fine with them since is flawless with even the tiniest dogs. WYATT is the ultimate family dog and/or endlessly loyal sidekick. As of 1/19/2017 he is 5.5 years old. He is certain to instantly steal the hearts of his forever family just like he has stolen ours!

WYATT is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and transport to the Midwest after he is adopted.

Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed.

ALL OF OUR DOGS START THEIR JOURNEY IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE WHERE THEY REMAIN IN LOVING FOSTER FAMILIES UNTIL THEY ARE ADOPTED. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
