My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vaider Is Ready for his own Loving Family

8-year-old, male, medium, black and tan, German Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with children: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown

Vaider and his brother Koda were purchased initially from a backyard breeder. Then they were left outside all the time. These guys are very sweet, but certainly deserve to be treated better. Our volunteer worked for months to convince the owners that they deserved a better life and Saving Paws is determined to find a wonderful, loving, indoor home for these guys.
These two have lived together all their lives. But we think there is a chance they can be separated. They may need the company of another pet, however, since they aren’t used to being alone.
Vaider is very sweet and loves people. He seems to be the submissive dog of the two brothers. These two haven’t had any real training yet, so volunteers are working on their leash manners. But they are very smart and we know that with positive training and patience, they’ll be wonderful companions.
They lived in a home with children before, so they are very used to kids and enjoy their company. We don’t know about cats at this time. They seem to do OK with other dogs, but a meet and greet with any existing furry friends is suggested.
If you can give Vaider a home and show him what the good life is all about, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses. Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
