MizTortie's Story...

MizTortie is a sweet girl who just can't seem to find a home :(  1st adopter said she wanted her but never came through on actually scheduling to take her, 2nd adopter took her home only to have her very old cat attack poor MizTortie... and the last adopter seemed perfect but discovered her pet deposit was $600 with $400 non-refundable!
So this playful and friendly kitty is still waiting. She's a typical Tortie, who will let you know what's on her mind, and she doesn't much like other cats, but is fine with dogs. She is a very easy kitty to please, she just wants her own safe place, her food and bed, plus some attention and company. She doesn't need a big house, or lots of amusement just a place to call home and an adopter to call family.
MizTortie came to us from Rappahannock animal control, a resident called for her to be picked up as she noticed her cornered and being harassed by some dogs. Seems MT doesn't hold it against dogs though!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MizTortie, a Flint HIll Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Flint HIll, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Flint HIll.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flint HIll already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flint HIll breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flint HIll paves the way for another one to be saved.
