Pudgie's Story...
Please pick pretty Pudgie! She's a lovable Jack Russell mix that is a transfer from another shelter. We have no information on Pudgie but she's been the perfect lady since her arrival. She's a quiet girl that enjoys being around people. Pudge is probably around 3 or 4 years old. She's a little stocky but can still run with the best of them and jump up to join you in a chair. If you're looking for a little friend, stop and and take a look at Pudgie today!

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pudgie, a Elyria Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
