Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy is a Take Me Home courtesy post. Buddy is not affiliated with Take Me Home. He is not under our care. Take Me Home is not responsible for any adoptions through private parties. If you have the room in your heart and home for sweet and special Buddy, please contact Maria at mtfaillace@gmail.com.
Meet Buddy and check out that smiling face. This bouncing ball of love is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix and one of the friendliest boys you will ever meet. Not only does he adore people, but he's also great with kids, other dogs, and cats (he shares a foster home with all of the above). Buddy is medium-sized at 54 pounds, is crate and potty trained, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and great in the car. Poor Buddy spent 70 days in a high-kill shelter, which is unheard of at that facility, but the staff loved him so much they were determined to keep him alive. Lucky for him, just as his time was up, a rescuer fell in love with Buddy and got him out of there.
One thing you should know about Buddy is that he was born deaf (as a percentage of white dogs are). Although some might see this as a negative, Buddy thinks of it as a positive. After all, it means that he's not scared of thunder, fireworks, or other loud noises; he takes the deepest, soundest naps you can imagine; and he doesn't have to listen if someone is playing Nickelback on the radio. Although deaf dogs do take a little extra work, Buddy's rescuer has been speaking with other deaf-dog-rescuers, and she has learned that they can be taught fairly easily (with hand signals and/or vibrating collars), and they can lead perfectly normal, happy lives. Buddy is so smart that he has learned several hand-signals already.
