Shrimp's Story...
Who you calling a Shrimp! Ok, I guess my name is Shrimp…and actually, I am a meek lil gal. Maybe you can help me build some confidence then rename something like Xena or She-Woman! See, I‘m young and just haven’t been exposed to a whole lot. I also lived most my life outside on a chain... and that is just no life for a sweetie like me. Some loud noises scare me, and sometimes strangers can make me feel a bit uneasy…that’s all. Nothing some socialization can’t take care of. Real young kids would probably be a bit much for me to handle, but older, gentle children would be great. I really love other dogs and do great with them. In fact, living with a confident dog could help me be confident! I’m fine living without another dog, too, I just need someone who is going to spend a lot of time with me, take me lots of places, and let me sleep inside where it’s warm at night. I also have a great grasp on crate training, which is a pretty wonderful start to everything else you wanna teach me. What do you say, show me some love and help me start a new life? 18 months old-46lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shrimp, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
