  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Bilbo Baggins’ adventures have come to a sudden halt while his broken leg heals. He’s not fond of the required crate confinement, but videos about other dogs’ adventures help him pass the time. Bilbo is a 2 year old brindle boy with a square face, black mask, touch of white on chest and toes, and natural, floppy ears. He’s slowly gaining weight but will be small for a male. He is heartworm positive but not symptomatic and ABR always helps with treatment that does not have to be difficult now.

Bilbo lives with 3 other small to medium sized dogs and does well even though he is not allowed to play or run until his leg heals. Maybe he broke his leg while chasing a cat because he is clearly not cat friendly. He has met some kids and acted appropriately although he is not allowed to play with them yet either. Bilbo was named to honor a family pet through ABR’s Name a Boxer program.

Bilbo is a high energy guy, appropriate for his age, and he generally has good manners. He is a sweet boy who takes treats gently. Bilbo is house, crate and leash trained and will be a real treat once he’s able to jog, run and go on hikes again. Bilbo Baggins is eagerly awaiting his next adventure.
