Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Redford has one of those faces you just can't help but fall in love with! He has a bit of a lazy streak in him and loves to just lounge around. Naps tend to be his favorite, but he does also enjoy a good romp in the yard to check things out and make sure all the neighborhood squirrels are on alert. He knows sit & shake and walks well on the leash. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He seems to miss his best buddy, Ranger, who was his shelter mate in Oklahoma. Redford is a big boy at 75 lbs. Our best guess on breed is Lab & St. Bernard but it is difficult to be certain. We'd rather prefer to say his breed is "handsome mixed with laid-back mixed with melt you heart"!
Redford was rescued from a rural outdoor-only shelter in Oklahoma where there is no adoption program. Dogs are held for two weeks and if not reclaimed by their owners, they are killed. There is no electricity, no shelter from the elements except a plastic dog house with hay, no volunteers to come walk them, and little to no chance of making it out alive. Dolly's Legacy is working hard to save them from a terrible fate and give them the chance they deserve at a happy life with loving families.
Redford is approximately 2 yrs old & weighs 75 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated for rabies distemper/parvo, bordatella, tested negative for heartworm, given Pro-Heart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. Adoption fee is $300. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved.
