My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little charmer's name is Doobie, and check out his smile! He is an adorable Rottweiler / Old English Bulldog mix that is just shy of being one year old. We rescued him from a shelter recently, so he is in the process of being neutered and fully vetted. Doobie is heart worm positive, so he will need to continue his heartworm treatment in his new home. In his foster home, he currently lives with a female Cane Corso, and they get along great. He has not been tested with or exposed to small dogs, cats, or children yet, so as of now, we do not know how he will react to them. Since he is still a young puppy, he will need to go to a home that can be patient with him while he's still learning his manners. He is crate trained, but is still working on perfecting house training, obedience and leash skills. His foster mom says that he is energetic, happy, and loves to be pet. He will probably do best in a home that is active and likes to exercise. if you are interested in Doobie or any of our other dogs, please feel free to email us at: info@bullpenrescue.org.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. The adoption app is available on our website (www.bullpenrescue.org) under the 'work with us' tab. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you’re interested in is a good match.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a “perfect placement” so we know that they will not be failed again.
