Hi, I’m Bailey. I’m a beautiful silver lab who is 5 years old. My brother Jack is my best friend. I am a little shy, and so he helps me to make sure all the people are good petters before I make my way to you. Sometimes even after that – he likes to push his way in to get an extra touch. I have been told that I need to lose some weight. That has been a hard journey. I had to have surgery for my knee last year, and so I don’t get to go on as long of walks as my brother. I have to take it easy for awhile and lay on the floor. I really don’t like it, and get bored fast, but I don’t have a choice, so I do it. I have been watching what I eat to help out with this process. I am a helpful dog, when my foster is done feeding the little ones lunch, I spend time cleaning up the floor for her – and sometimes I help with the table too. My foster mom tells me I shouldn’t do that – but I know she could use the help. I get to spend my days with these little ones. My favorite are the tiny ones. I like to protect them like my brother does for me. I don’t want anyone touching them without checking in with me first. I need to make sure their hands are soft enough. I don’t mind when they make noise either – I mean sometimes I still like to bark just to make people look too. I also like to splash in the pool and take a little swim. It’s a little too cold now, but it should be really good for me and my leg to help get it working great again. My other leg is still getting a little sore and I will need to have that knee fixed also. The rescue knows this and is willing to take care of that financially for my forever family. I know I’m not supposed to be jumping, but the corner of the couch just calls to me. I make sure I have a blanket down and I even fluff my pillows. I can then take a wonderful nap during the day. My other favorite napping spot is on someone’s feet. I know it helps my fosters by keeping their feet warm, and I like to know exactly where they are.
