My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bosco is a beautiful, well built, ~<1 year, neutered, chocolate lab. He is very active and playful, as a lab this age should be. He has gone on leash walks with us and free walks with me while moving horses from stalls to pasture turnout. He can fly! This is a new name for him so he doesn't always know I'm calling him but I've learned he responds to clapping and finger snapping. He doesn't run off. He definitely has had some training with sit, shake, down, stay, wait. He is living with a dominant male shepherd, a bossy older female terrier, two cats, one mule and three horses. He obviously had no previous experience with equines or cats. My cat has explained that she is really the queen dog that will be obeyed. The horses are very tolerant and he is getting it. If I was younger and riding a lot he would be a perfect riding/hiking/camping companion. We have a doggie door which terrified him, I feel because it looks like it goes into a crate. He is using the door today and it has only been five days! He will ask to go outside to potty. He takes food gently from fingers, eats pretty slowly for a lab. He does fear getting left which is pretty understandable, I am not leaving him without someone home because I want him to learn we do come back, he is safe. I won't even try the crate as I can still see where he rubbed his face raw. I have had plenty of other people and dogs around and he is openly friendly. I would expect him to be fine with children but will check it out. I have lots of pictures and opinions about his perfect family but think calling if interested would be best.
