Are you looking for an easy-going dog who requires very little training in the home? A dog who will make you feel like a hero every time you walk through the front door? Look no further than Dodger. He is a volunteer favorite and has been on many sleepovers with his human friends who give him rave reviews. Now in a foster home, Dodger is proving to be the model housedog. Completely house trained and independent, this four-year-old enjoys the finer things in life: treats, lounging with his people, sunbathing and doggie massages. An occasional dip in the water can send Dodger into fits of joy. Dodger's second favorite activity (next to spending time with his people), is exploring the great outdoors. His happiness is contagious when he's out there strutting his stuff. He will stay right beside you on leash, with his spot-anchored tail never stopping for a moment. He's a keen observer of the world on his walks, and new discoveries will abound. If Dodger were a movie star, he would be the strong silent type. Imagine a canine Gary Cooper, or, for modern movie fans, a doggie Tom Hardy. He's not one to wear his emotions on his sleeve, with two distinct exceptions: when his people come home from work (when he'll race to find one of his squeaky toys to celebrate), and when he's about to go for a walk (happy dance!). Although he is definitely movie star material, Dodger is no prima donna. He doesn't demand constant attention, has excellent table manners, and is content to curl up on his own in the evenings, just happy to know you're there with him. He doesn't hog the spotlight, and he may be able to live with a cat. Dodger would love to have a happily ever after with you!
