Wolfie's Story...
Wolfie (4 years old, male, domestic longhair): Wolfie’s story is the story of a miracle. He was found abandoned and dying, staggering along a roadside. Yet, when he was picked up by his rescuer he still tried to purr. It was that strong spirit that allowed him to survive what came next: hospitalization and transfusions on the long road to recovery. The vets didn’t think he would make it, his suffering had been so intense. Boy, were they wrong! The love and support he found at FUR and with his foster home have helped this frail, sick boy turn into a handsome, loving and appreciative buddy. He’s perfectly healthy now, neutered and vaccinated. One look into his bright green eyes against his luminous grey coat, and you’ll fall in love. It is a miracle that Wolfie has not only survived but thrived. Now he needs one more miracle – a FURever home. Won’t you be his miracle? Make an appointment to meet him today!

Our shelter is a no cage, no kill sanctuary. Most of the cats in our care are here because they was no other alternative and for many it was their last hope. All of our cats receive love, affection and attention everyday. Every volunteer we have spends personal time with each and every one of them so we can tell you in detail all about their personality when you come to adopt. The more we can adopt out the more we can go out and rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wolfie, a Waynesville Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Waynesville, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Waynesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waynesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waynesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waynesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
