Princess's Story...
Princess is a sweet girl around 2 years of age. Princess came to use through another humane society who pulls from multiple rural shelters. She was part of a group of Shepherds seized due to neglect and had been kept on a chain without food, water, or shelter.

Princess seems to be a bit ambivalent about people and can be more reserved. She is a very sweet girl once she warms up but it is obvious that she isn't sure who to trust or if she can trust. She has not shown herself to have any aggression towards people and has been a detached sort of friendly to everyone she meets. Princess is a classic closed off Shepherd who isn't going to invest herself into a person or get attached until that person shows her they are worth it.

Princess did arrive with other dogs and has continued to be around other dogs with no problems. She isn't exactly sure how to play but she is friendly when greeting and starting to figure things out. Princess was introduced to an adult cat who she had no problems with. She did not other to nip or chase the cat and was overall unconcerned with its presence.

Princess is searching for a home that will be willing to invest in her to discover the amazing Shepherd she can be in a loving environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess, a Louisville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Louisville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
