Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Here's a happy, playful fella who deserves a home where he can romp to his heart's extent and then simmer down for cuddle time on the couch. Jake is a sweet, cute boy who sits and stays. He is 1.5 years old and weighs 47 pounds. He's reported to be house trained. His owner left him at the shelter on Jan. 20th. She stated that she goes to school and works full time so Jake was left on his own for long, long periods of time (all day) and he got into stuff he should not have. Even well adjusted dogs look for ways to entertain themselves left alone for long hours. They need stimulation, human interaction, and potty breaks throughout the day. Also crate training is an option for when the dog is left unsupervised; of course no dog should be left in a crate for 12 or more hours a day. We're sure an active, engaged owner or family would give Jake enough interaction that he would make a great family pet. Dogs love brisk, exercising walks! Jake is up to date with shots and already neutered. He will be micro-chipped and heartworm tested upon adoption. Come see Jake soon! He's in Run 27 and his ID is 591560.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
