My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

…"because that's the coolest cat I've ever seen"...

That's what the Vet Tech said when I brought Kimba to them that rainy night he showed up in February. The Tech asked "um… are you keeping him?" I said "temporarily….. why?" She replied "because that's the coolest cat I've ever seen…" That confirmed my suspicions… Kimba is indeed a very rare cat! She said Kimba was so chilled out EVEN when they had to shave his face, he just raised his chin up to help them, and for a cat that's unheard of. Later she remarked "Oh my gosh he's so cool."

I am Kimba's foster Mom. I named him Kimba after my favorite cartoon as a toddler in the 60's, "Kimba the White Lion" - the arguable but obvious inspiration for The Lion King. (You can look up that controversy on Youtube :) Of course if you adopt him, you can re-name him whatever you want, but he does wear the name Kimba well.

SUPER SNUGGLY & LOVEY COMPANION: I've never had a cat be so sweet and cuddly, and sometimes he will just snuggle in super close and just look up at me with "I love you" eyes. He likes to sleep next to me. And I've learned the hard way I have to be careful not to step on him, because sometimes he quietly (without me noticing) came and lay down by me on the floor, just to be close to me. I've stepped on him twice, but fortunately no harm done. Just a warning to be cautious!
And… He has enough love for everyone. There are 2 adults in my home, and though Kimba knows he is "mine" (temporarily), he wants to hang out with my housemate as well. So a home with several people who love him would be good for him as well.
I wish I could keep this special boy myself, but I already have my max quota of 2 cats, who unfortunately are not cuddly snugglers like Kimba, so I'm REALLY gonna miss him when he leaves!

LOW-KEY ADVENTURER: Kimba is generally chilled out. He does get in a frisky play mood each day, and he's thrilled when you break out the catnip. He LOVES to explore, so you will need to be very careful in not letting him out or where he might wander away. It's not that he doesn't love you to pieces, he is very content living with you, he's just driven to check things out. If there's a closed door, he feels he should be on the other side of it. Therefore, if you live in a studio apartment or one of those cool "tiny homes" Kimba would go a bit crazy, but if you have a home on the bigger side where he can explore, that would be a plus. He will saunter all around the house to monitor things and make sure all is well.

Kimba didn't bring his birth certificate when he showed up, so the educated guess is that he's around 10 years old. Bonus: He is polydactyl so his paws look especially huge, giving him that wild mountain lion look. He has quite the healthy appetite and especially loves wet food... the boy sure can eat!  Being Siamese, he is fairly vocal. He will make his needs known, and even occasionally will just converse with you. You can't be lonely with Kimba around, he is an excellent companion for his humans, as I have experienced firsthand!
