Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This big grey guy with a tough face is actually a huge softie. Malcolm had a hard life on the street, but now that he is safe he loves attention and purrs like a machine! Most of the time, he hangs out in little cat-tree cubbies, and while inside them he feels safe and will let you pet and groom him. He has a loud purr and is very, very grateful for any brushing and currying because he has a shedding undercoat that he's struggling to keep clean and unmatted. If you have cat-grooming wet wipes and rub him down, he'll be so happy.
Here's his story: He showed up at the shelter in the fall '15, all skin and bones. Theresa (the founder of our shelter) was feeding him for about a month before she could trapped him. Malcolm was so frail and had a terrible uri, so she did not take him to the vet right away. He must have suffered many years on the streets struggling to survive. His mouth was a terrible painful mess plus his coat was so painfully matted that we had to shave him down to the skin. He had all but two teeth removed right before New Years. Malcolm is sweet and purrs so loud that we had to tap his nose so Dr. C. can check his heart.
