Once I cried but now I find I have left those days behind My mind's racing round and round, I was lost but now I've found
One look and I wear my heart upon my sleeve One touch from you and I just can't believe Each time I look in your eyes I get the same new surprise And since the day that we met you just won't let me forget I am spellbound -from 'Spellbound' by The Smithereens
You will be absolutely spellbound by our sweet gorgeous gentle big girl. Laura is a one year old tan Hound/Cur mix who came into rescue very underweight at 51 lbs. She is currently on the road to reaching her ideal weight of 65 lbs. This precious pooch obviously had a rough start to her young life but she is a forgiving soul who has left the past where it belongs. Laura was pulled into rescue from a high kill southern shelter and placed in a loving foster home where she has since learned how great it is to be an indoor girl. She has quickly learned to communicate when she needs to go outside to do her business. She is well behaved and has great manners as any young lady should. She is crate trained but foster mom only crated for very short periods as an initial training and acclimation tool. Laura loves going for walks and hikes. She does well on leash with some pulling but she is working really hard to let foster mom be the leader. She loves hanging out by a big window and just watching everything that goes on outside. She is a very loving and laid back girl who apparently is not at all bothered by loud noises such as thunderstorms or fireworks. Laura the love bug is great with other dogs and is feline friendly but her real passion is people....any size, any age. She adores being around people and showering them with affection. She would be a lap dog if she could but she'll settle for lots of cuddles on the couch. Laura truly is tender hearted. She's the kind of pup who will do best with a softer approach with training. Harsh words or tones will only confuse and scare her so gentle words for a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve or paw or something like that. Laura is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and microchipped. She has left all of her bad days behind, was lost and then found (by rescue) and now she is waiting for the surprise of her life...a forever family to call her own. Just one look in those big beautiful soft brown eyes, that's right! You'll be spellbound.
