Meet Teagan! Teagan is a daschund mix that is about 3 to 4 years old. She came to us from our local animal control with a pretty serious open chest wound, that has since healed. She is Heartworm positive & has been going through slow kill. The Last Resort will continue to pay for her heartworm treatment until she comes back negative. She gets along with most other dogs, but is not overly fond of cats. She likes dogs that tend to mind their own business, but play with her when she wants to play. She is a super snuggly little girl (weighs about 30 pounds) that would be content spending her days cuddling up on the couch. She is crate trained, as well as completely housebroken. She is not very vocal at all, in all the time her foster mom has had her she has only barked maybe twice for no reason. Teagan would be great for a couple who likes to get out and explore. We would like to see her in a home with a fenced in backyard vs. an apartment & she would need to be eased into going to a dog park, if that is an option. Teagan is spayed and up to date on all shots. She is in a foster home in NC and can be transported to MD or NJ when approved adopter is found.
Update from foster mom on 3/19/17: Teagan was wondering why she has had no luck finding her happily ever after?! I mean just look at her, she's adorable! She loves to play with her foster brothers & sisters (but can be pretty bossy- what girl can't though!) & she is crate trained, & is housebroken/potty trained! I'm a really good girl, & I love to be held juuuuuussssttttt like a little baby & I especially love getting sugars (kisses)! My one flaw? I'm a total blanket hog! I steal all the blankies & leave my foster parents freezing all the time!
I am heartworm positive, but have no fear, I'm currently going through slow kill treatment! The rescue will cover all that until that test shows negative!
I've been with my foster parents for so long now, I really really love them So much, but I would love a family of my own even more!
