My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Story:
Sally is one sweet girl. She settled in quickly to her foster home and loves to follow her brother,Harry. They make quite a team patrolling the garden for anything that moves. She loves to go for walks, is quiet in the car and sleeps by the bed through the night.

She sits calmly for grooming and bathing, behaving perfectly and has a lovely soft coat, great for cuddling into. She is best not left alone too long but would prefer the company of either human.

History:
Sally was found very cold night in a street with her brother Harry. If you can open your heart to this sweet 8 months old, 9 pounds Sally, she will re-pay you with kisses.

Sally is currently living with a foster family with multiple dogs, and she gets along well with them all. Sally has not been around a cat, but we believe that with a proper introduction and right fit, she should be fine with just about any little animal.

We plan on bringing her to Princeton, New Jersey a in late February upon finding a forever family for her. Sally's adoption fee is $300. If you would like to adopt Sally, please email donghaepaws@gmail.com with a bit of information about yourself (e.g. your experience as a dog owner, your family and/or other pets, etc.) and your phone number. A HDP volunteer will promptly respond to your email. Thank you!

Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
A home check is mandatory before adoption.

*** About us ***
Hope For Donghae Paws(HDP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to bringing rescue dogs from Korea to the US and finding permanent homes for them. It is true there are many animal lovers in Korea, but still many dogs suffer and are killed for food.
Our mission is to find US homes for mixed-breed dogs whose chances of being adopted in their native Korea are very low.
