Fitch's Story...
Please read full description:

UPDATE (3/6/17) - Fitch is so incredibly sweet! She is guessed at 16-20 weeks old and ready for her forever home. This girl is amazing. She is so gentle, sweet, and affectionate. She gives the softest and most respectful kisses and just looks adoringly at her human with those puppy eyes. She's so soft coated too and has a beautiful heart on her right side. This girl is a great addition to a family. Feel free to follow her progress on facebook for updated photos and progress too!

UPDATE (JAN) - Fitch is a sweet girl who also came in with the other 12 pups. She is of good body condition and is such a sweetheart! She was pretty shy when she came to rescue but has progressed in leaps and bounds in just a week of TLC. She gives the sweetest kisses and is so gentle and cautious in her approach for attention. She was FULL of worms and not used to steady meals but is feeling great now and adjusting to knowing the food and fresh water will come every day so she doesn't need to gorge on it like it may be her last. Fitch is very pretty and soft and is going to make a gorgeous lady! She is the sibling of Abelle, Jude, Raven, Merlin and Urie. She seems to be their protector and makes sure they are ok at all times. These littles are so sweet and deserve forever homes. We are so grateful their owner surrendered so they could get the care they needed and a warm, indoor place to live! Please consider donating toward the Baker's Dozen Pups. They are going to need a lot of high quality puppy food, puppy pads, toys, shampoo, and once healthier, vaccinations and spay/neuter. We are expecting their care to be close to $2,000 and every penny is a blessing and cherished gift. Donations can be made to Paypal at forbellessake.org or via our Amazon wishlist! Thank you!

If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Adoption fee is $175. They will be available for forever homes once 12 weeks old. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped as well as other medical needs cared for prior to adoption.
*Breeds and mature sizes are not guaranteed, but a “best guess”. We have no idea who the parents of these sweet souls are. A female can also have several males sire a litter so they could all have different breeds.
*A fenced yard is required if a yard is present. If no yard due to apartment/condo, leash law and access to a dog park is required for adoption*
*No resident is guaranteed housetraining as we focus on major behavioral and medical rehabilitation. Basic training is also a great way for an adopter to bond with their adopted family member. Additionally, a dog displaying housetrained behaviors in rescue can regress in a new environment and routine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fitch, a Minot Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Minot, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Minot.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minot already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minot breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minot paves the way for another one to be saved.
