Gentle, shy little Lizzie was rescued from a backyard in Bensonhurst, and has since been cared for by her rescuers. Now that she’s grown accustomed to the good life indoors, she’s in search of her forever home. It would be great if that home could be yours!

A dilute calico, Lizzie is described by her rescuer-fosters as a bit shy but oh-so-sweet. She tends to let her brother and sister eat first—except when there’s bacon to be offered as a treat. (It’s her favorite!) Lizzie is a nuzzler who likes a cozy place to curl up, somewhere she can feel comfortable and safe. While it may take you a little extra patience to earn Lizzie’s trust, she makes it all worthwhile: when she starts softly purring and cuddling up to you, it’s the most wonderful reward in the world.

Lizzie is spayed, FeLV/FIV negative, and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet this shy sweetheart, contact Tara at!

Thank you for thinking of animals in need - your support allows us to help the next furry sweetheart!

About Brooklyn Animal Action

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress by working with our communities. We are dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Release programs, finding homes for adoptable animals, performing community outreach and education, and engaging in advocacy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please email us at if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued cats.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt one of our animals, they must fill out an adoption application. If that is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for a donation to help us continue our work.
