My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harris is a young terrier mix boy who is approx 18 months and 27 lbs. He would be a great dog to take to the park or go running with. He loves to be with people!! He gets along great with the other dogs, is very active, and just loves to runs and play. He would benefit from having a doggy companion to keep him company. He does not like to be alone and is not a good candidate for an apartment. He has been treated for heartworms with the required series of injections and he has also been started on a monthly heartworm preventative. He is fairly well house trained and does pretty well on a leash , but like all rescues, he could do with some additional training.

The total adoption cost of $525 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA. Our application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/
