My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This face!!! How can you resist? Cagney is a sweet, loving boy who is GREAT with kids and dogs. He loves tug-of-war and fetch, and is very gentle with his human foster siblings who are 6- and 8-year-olds when they play with him, backing off his toughness with younger children, and turning on the real game for adult foster parents! He's the classic scruffy mutt who is sure to be loyal to the end.
Cagney would love to be a lap dog, though he’s been very respectful of our requests for him to stay off the couch. He would love someone who likes to walk, run, or throw a ball for him; he’s extremely fast and agile. Cagney has gotten along extremely well with his foster doggie sibling who is 10-year-old Golden / Lab mix, never challenging him and allowing him to be the alpha dog. He is a little too interested in cats, so he should go to a cat free home. Cagney is house trained, fully crate trained at night (without a peep!), and his foster family is working on crate training during the day. After a few days of nervousness, Cagney has become very low maintenance and will be a best friend for life.

Cagney is a shepherd/hound mix with some scruffy added in the mix. His DOB is estimated at 1/2014 and he has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
