Dachshund Dog for adoption in Pikeville, Maryland - Millie

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Millie's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Millie's Story...
Millie was part of 12 + dogs that was turned into the shelter from one house. She was very selective of who she liked at the shelter. I do not know how she will do with kids but small kids I don't think would be good with her. She has done wonderful here since I brought her home. She was nervous at first but warmed up within the day. She now follows me everywhere and loved her cookies. She walks great on a leash and gets along very well with other dogs and cats. She is spayed and microchipped. She has been wormed and current with her flea and heartworm prevention. Please email with any questions or if you would like an application. She is about 9 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Pikeville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Pikeville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Pikeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pikeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pikeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pikeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
