Candy's Story...
Candy is a Mini Schnauzer mix, estimated to be between 6-9 years old. She is nothing short of a cute love bug. Very friendly, gets along well with other dogs, has not been tested with cats. Candy had a rough start to life and is learning what it is like to be a loved member of a family. She is now potty trained, but has been given potty breaks every 3 hours or so to help with this. She would not be suited to a home where she is alone for long hours. Candy still needs training in the basics. She does understand her name and will come when she is called. She will sit and give you her paw. Candy is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped. She is getting better on leash. Still needs work on commands like no, down, off, sit and stay. We are looking for a home for Candy where she will get lots of time and love from her new humans for the rest of her life. Contact rescue1atatime@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Barrie Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Barrie, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Barrie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrie paves the way for another one to be saved.
