Bessi's Story...
Bessi was rescued from the North Central Animal shelter, a day before she was set to be euthanized after being in the shelter for seven months. No one wanted sweet Bessi because she is mostly pit bull, and no one on staff or any of the volunteers could tell anyone who was interested in adopting her if she was OK with other dogs. It was very clear that she loved people, but most pit bulls do love people, it's other dogs that can present a problem. We took a chance, and rescued her, and WOW, is she ever a great dog. Not only does she is Ok with other dogs, she loves to play with dogs, many dogs in our pack. She is still learning how to walk on a leash etc, but we are most happy to report that she is a great addition to our play pack. She will go our to our weekly dog adoptions at Pasadena Petco. To meet her, or to learn more about our Bessi, please call us at 818-407-4145 or e-mail me at Lori@modernica.,net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bessi, a Los Angeles Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
