My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WANTED: a warm lap attached to someone who wants to cuddle ... lots and lots of cuddles. Hi, my name is Phoebe. I am 17 years old and suddenly homeless. I would like to spend my golden years in a home with someone to love. I am very friendly and I love absolutely everyone. I have a very sweet, kind-hearted, loving personality. I always use the litterbox like a good girl. I am declawed. I have lived with other cats and small dogs in the past. I will be happiest in a calm, quieter home full of snuggles and cuddles. All I want is love. I know I don’t have another 10 years left on this planet, but I would like to spend the time I do have in a home, as a beloved pet. The Rescue is providing my medical care and making sure that I’m in tip-top shape for my new forever home. I’m being treated for a bout of coccidian right now and the Rescue is providing all of my medication and follow-up vet visits. Top priority is to get me into a home where I won’t be alone or feel so stressed out, which can also affect my overall health. Please help me. Share my story. Someone out there has room in their heart and in their home to give me the golden years I so deserve. Apply online at www.pawsforliferescue.org

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
