Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Intelligent. Playful. Athletic. Adorable. ABSOLUTELY. Busy, feisty, independent, and tenacious. YEP. A relentless escape artist, stubborn as can be and a constant barker. ONE. HUNDRED. PERCENT. All those characteristics are why we adore our 2.5 year old Brillo and also why we are being extra picky about her forever home. Let's get right to it...Brillo is a Terrier. That alone means she is not a dog for the faint of heart. Brillo loves being outside. Sun. Rain. Snow. Sleet. Whether she is charming snakes (a.k.a tirelessly hunting them and playing with them when she finds them) or catching June Bugs (a.k.a. grabbing them mid-air and eating them) or digging craters in the yard, she is happiest outside. Yes, she likes walks and would likely enjoy hiking but more than anything, she wants a fenced-in yard. An escape-proof, checked completely for holes and weak points, impossible to dig under, fenced-in yard. Brillo loves adventure, she loves to run and she's smarter than you so she will get out if she has the opportunity. Don't test her. You'll probably lose. Brillo has a lot to say. She will tell you when someone comes to the door, she will talk just because one of her canine siblings is talking, she will yell at you to pick her up, she will shout at you to let her out. If barking makes you crazy, Brillo isn't the one for you and we can assure you that if you have shared walls or live in an apartment, she isn't the one for your neighbors. Brillo loves other dogs and needs a partner in crime. Despite her small 20lb. stature, she is tough as nails and does best with bigger, silly pups who don't take her too seriously and don't mind running the yard while she is nipping at their heels. As much as she likes canine friends though, our girl can be a pistol when she first meets other dogs so resident pups should be laid back and playful. Brillo loves people. Pick her up, hug her, hold her upside down like a baby, kiss her and at the end of the day, this brilliant little rough and tumble girl will be just as determined to love you and snuggle as she has been to cause mischief! Brills is housebroken and crate trained but...yep, you guessed it, she will bark when crated. She is also spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped.
