Every holiday season we have puppies. Puppies who aren't what the kids really wanted and puppies who were returned because their adopters forgot just how much work it is to have a puppy! So even when the holidays end, we keep the puppy party going. It's a win win really. We get puppy kisses and they get homes. Forever homes this time.
Meet Mario Tater, the last of our holiday pups! Mario Tater, his brother, Luigi Tot and their four siblings were confiscated after being abandoned in an empty home. Sadly, four pups died on their way to the shelter and Mario and Luigi had to ride all the way with their deceased sibs. It goes without saying that they were traumatized and not in good health when we rescued them. In fact, we weren't sure they were going to make it through the night. Thanks to some major TLC from their foster family, they went from scrawny, sickly little guys to healthy, happy, Pitbull (and some Boxer thrown in too) mixes. Tater loves his toys and a good play session but his favorite pastime is cuddling on the couch. In fact, his foster mom says he can cuddle for hours and he is perfectly content. Seriously. For hours. Like his brother, we are amazed that a 12 week old, 14lb. puppy can be so laid back but he is and to top it off, he loves other dogs, large and small, and thinks the human kiddos in the house are fantastic. Plus, just look at those ears. It doesn't get much cuter. Mario Tater is housebroken when kept on a schedule, awesome in his crate, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchipped.
