found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Once she senses that all present are her friends, Abby is so warm and friendly that she always hopes every pat and kind word will turn into a friend. Both people and other dogs (cats are unknown) are drawn to Abby for her kind attitude and playful ways. She is just beginning to learn about playing - she waits expectantly for her toy, with her eyes so bright and joyful..to run off again after it.
Farfel's Rescue has determined that Abby would love a mellow home where she is an active and important member of the family. We feel that an adult home (retirees would be perfect) or a family with older kids where there's a more predictable environment would be great. Abby would be overjoyed to spend parts of the day together either hiking or walking through the beauty of Colorado trails or neighborhoods. Then at day's end, she's the ultimate snuggler and sleeps soundly through the night.
It is Abby's love affair with life and all the hardships that she's suffered along the way that motivates us to put her through Heartworm treatments..Abby's precious life deserves to be saved! Abby has tested HW+ and Farfel's Rescue (with the help of Dr G in Denver) has volunteered to save this very special dog's life. The heart worm treatment process involves several shots followed by a period of quiet time for the dog. We have found this protocol to be very successful and the dogs go on to live long, happy lives.
We are seeking an adopter to lovingly care for Abby as she becomes heartworm negative. It's quite an easy rehab process as it only entails mellow time with soft words and belly rubs. Farfel's will pay the vet bills and provide premium food and treats for this special pup as she becomes healthily heartworm-free.
Abby (like all dogs) would benefit from positive reinforcement group obedience classes - she is a super-smart girl who truly wants to please. Great training will give Abby the skills to be an excellent adult dog. These type of classes will also bring out the great qualities of this Tibethan/Poodle as well as creating a tightly-knit bonding with her family members
Abby is a non-shedding pup with a beautiful coat with such distinctive golden markings. She will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her hair healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free.
Abby will arrive on transport in Boulder on 2/3/17. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested in this very sweet and loyal best friend, please fill out and return to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 303-443-7730.
