Star's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Star's Story...
Welcome Star to ADA! Star is a petite 10 month old Border Collie/Cattldog mix that came to us from a rural shelter in Virginia. Star is the total package! She gets along beautifully with other dogs, is very obedient, and doesn't even mind taking a bath! She will make the perfect companion to most any family. Because Star loves other dogs, we really want to find her a home with she will have a doggie playmate!

$175.00 adoption donation ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Staunton Border Collie/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Cattle Dog for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Border Collie/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
