My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“He is incredibly sensitive and emotional. He likes touch to feel secure and build his confidence. He is absolutely an amazing dog; he is low energy, sleeps in bed with us through the night and is a lazy riser. The only issue is his need to be outside where he can run and not be worried about. He needs a fenced in yard so that he can enjoy himself.” says foster mom, of Molson, a 5 ½ year old Husky mix who weighs in at 75 pounds. With his dark, soft eyes, and his warm, furry, white coat, we think he’s a very handsome boy! He has been fine with cats, but he has proven to be a selective of his canine companions, and because of that, we feel he’d do best as a solo dog. We feel that he will do best in a home with older children. He is house trained, but he’s not crate trained, and he also knows sit and shake.. Foster mom says that he’s not destructive in the house, and other than a bit of secretive counter surfing…he does like donuts…he is a well behaved house guest. “He is vocal like a husky; he cries at the doors and sometimes the windows, it's more of a talking than a barking and it's not loud enough to be bothersome. Sometimes it just sounds like he's saying mama. He's not vocal when left alone except right when we leave,” foster mom adds. “When he got here he was very depressed. He's very sensitive and will definitely need time to adjust to being in a new home. Every single day he makes improvements. He now is so happy when we come home--he loves getting cookies and shaking paws, he wags his tail, he loves to get love and will put his head on yours and close his eyes and just take it all in. You can tell he is a very soulful and intelligent dog,” she says. She also wanted his potential adopters to know that he is a wanderer, so a fenced in yard would be ideal. He doesn’t like being on a line. He has learned to walk well on a leash. He’s a good learner, and even an ‘old dog’ can learn new tricks, if everyone is patient and kind. We think he will make an affectionate, low energy companion who will give back tenfold in loyalty when he bonds with his new family.
