Sadie's Story...
Say hello to Sadie! This absolutely beautiful gal is a 4 year old Entlebucher Mountain Dog. Sadie was at our Rescue last fall, but, through no fault of her own, she is now available again for adoption. Sadie is a petite, loving, good-natured dog who would do well in almost any family. She is great with other dogs, with cats, and especially with kids (all ages). Sadie is both house- and kennel-trained. She is eager to learn and to please; a very intelligent girl, Sadie picks up on commands quickly. She enjoys playing fetch, but she's always ready for a good ol' fashioned cuddle. Sadie is blind, but that hasn't kept her from enjoying life. She will need to be cared for by a family who will help her to navigate her surroundings and who will keep the layout of the house (furniture placement, etc) the same as much as possible. Changes to the environment are sometimes hard for blind dogs, and Sadie will need a moment to adjust to new situations. If you're interested in meeting Sadie, please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944. She will remain in foster care until adoption.

If you want to apply for Sadie, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Meridian Entlebucher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Entlebucher for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Entlebucher dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Entlebucher breeders who help with Entlebucher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
