Ivy's Story...
Hello! My name is Ivy and I'm ready for my forever family! Someone found me stuck to an animal trap. I'm very lucky someone brought me to Hartman Veterinary Hospital because my foot was so swollen from the animal trap. They were able to save my leg and foot. I don't have any toes though. The staff here had to remove them because I don't have any feeling in that foot. I get around great, but slippery floors do give me a hard time sometimes, but don't worried that won't stop me! I have a very loving personality. I'm a mellow cat that loves to have company around, but I can be shy. I'm usually scared and timid at first, but once I get to know you I will show you my true colors. I'm ready for my forever home! Is it you?! Are you my forever family?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ivy, a Toledo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
