Meow! Hello, my name is Boomerang, and I am a handsome little boy. I was found in the cold and damp outdoors where I lived with my mommy and 3 siblings. How blessed we were to have been found by a nice lady and placed into a loving foster home with children, dogs, and other cats. I love to play, play, play (like a Boomerang!) and enjoy taking cat naps with the other cats in my foster home. Although I have a sweet personality, I’m more shy and independent than my siblings. I dream of having a forever family who will be patient with me while I get used to my new surroundings and who will allow me to bond on my own terms. I would also do well in a home with another cat. Once I warm up, I’ll be sleeping on your pillow in no time. Do I sound like a kitty that you would like to meet? If so, please complete an on-line application and one of our volunteers will contact you.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event.

General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption.

Current fees are: Dog - $175, Puppy (under 7 months) - $200; Cat - $110, Kitten (under 7 months) - $125. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchipping.
