My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wandering into a horse farm in south Jersey, this little dog (estimated at 18 months old by the vet) kept sneaking into the barn in the middle of the night and tearing the cat food bags open and barking at the horses (usually around 4 a.m.) A couple of the workers set up a racoon trap and caught him within a day. The first 2 days, he was terrified, and huddled in the corner of a stall. He was very skinny, dirty, and in poor shape all the way around. He started to warm up to his "captors," and began to follow them around everywhere off a leash. He gets along fine with cats and much prefers small dogs to large. He has gotten a couple of baths, and is gaining weight. Parker is housebroken, and loves to be held and cuddled. He would do great in an adult home (no children under 16 please), and is such a sweet and affectionate little dog after he gets attached to someone - he takes a bit more time to warm up to men than to women. Parker is being fostered in Millsboro, DE and his asking adoption fee is $300.

E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
