Hi, I am Toby! I am friendly dog who loves people who are kind and patient. I am a 65 lb., neutered, 16 month old, male, American Staffordshire terrier mix. I love walking, hiking, going for car rides and then relaxing big time! I am currently being fostered and trained by an experienced trainer and an experienced dog handler/lover. I am a quick learner and have developed lots of self-control now that I am in a home setting. I know: sit, down, stay, crawl, come, shake, play dead, find-it, leave it, how to walk nicely on leash, and I am house-trained. I am now in foster care because 2 kind people saw my potential to be an awesome companion. I have also been trained for 30 hours by a teenager as part of a program at the shelter. There were 5 other teens and dogs in the program. We all got along great! My history is that I was adopted from a shelter at 10 weeks of age, but the adopter raised me as an outside dog where I lived and slept with almost no human interaction. I was returned to the shelter at 10 months of age. I hope after seeing my pictures and video you too will see how I can add a lot of fun, love and companionship to your life.
