** A BIG THANK YOU TO MATTY DALRYMPLE FOR FULLY SPONSORING DORA'S ADOPTION FEE**

Dora is a 12 year old female black lab mix who weighs about 50 lbs. Dora was rescued just in time from a high kill shelter after being dumped by her lifelong owner on Christmas Eve. Even after her owner was told what her fate would be, he still chose to leave her behind and break this old girl's heart. We couldn't let that be the end of Dora's story so she's now resting comfortably in a foster homes and getting the love and care she deserves. Dora clearly has lived a life of neglect and has the scars to show for it. She had to be treated for ear infections, skin infections, arthritis and a hernia. Through it all, Dora has been nothing short of amazing and sweet. She's a friendly girl who doesn't ask for much and is content to just be near her people. Dora can be a bit selective with other dogs (more just in a "don't bother me" grumpy old bitty kind of way) and would do best in a home without cats but otherwise just seems to go with the flow. This older gal would love some good company and a soft bed to snooze on by the fire this winter. She is bright and alert for her age and with some joint supplements and/or anti inflammatory meds, Dora will be just fine enjoying whatever time she has left. Dora is housebroken, walks well on a leash, loves to play fetch and promises to be your new best friend! This gorgeous and loyal girl is hoping that someone will give her the chance to have a forever family. Please help us find Dora the loving home she deserves!

About All 4 Paws Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

All 4 Paws Rescue is a foster-based, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Chester Springs, PA that offers rescue and sanctuary to animals in need. We do not have a physical shelter you can visit - all of our animals are housed in foster homes. All 4 Paws Rescue is made up of volunteers and foster homes that care for and socialize our animals. Most of our animals have been rescued from "death row" from high-kill shelters and auctions and given a second chance at life. Our goal is to offer each and every one of these animals a safe, permanent and loving home. Please help us to give each of these animals the life they deserve.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do NOT have a physical shelter or kennel that you can visit. Since all of our pets live in foster homes, they can be seen by appointment only. The first step in our adoption process is to submit an application. Appointments are only made with approved adopters. If you have any questions, please email info@all4pawsrescue.com

We also frequently hold "Meet and Greet" Events.. Please check the "Events" page of our website for details.

Our Adoption Process...

We do our best to keep the adoption process straight-forward and simple in an effort to get our available pets into a permenant, stable and loving home in a timely manner. You will be asked to fill out an adoption application giving All 4 Paws Rescue information about yourself, your family and your experience with pets. You will need to provide a vet reference and multiple personal references. Our goal is to find our animals the best possible home and if multiple applications are received, All 4 Paws Rescue will make the decision as to which home would be best for that particular pet.

Please note, it takes us an average of 4-7 days to process an application. This timing may vary based on how quickly and easily your references are reached and how many applications are pending at that time. Please be patient. We will be in touch during the application process to update you on the status of your application.

PLEASE NOTE :

**We DO require that ALL dogs and cats in your household are spayed or neutered, kept up-to-date on vaccines and that they are seen annually for a check-up.

**We do NOT require a fenced in yard unless otherwise noted for a specific pet.

**We do NOT allow our cats to be declawed before or after adopting.

**We do NOT have restrictions regarding children in an adoptive household unless otherwise noted for a specific pet.

**We do NOT SHIP animals. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets and live outside of our area, you will be required to come meet and adopt the animal in person if your application is approved.

**We do NOT hold animals.

**We do NOT adopt to anyone under 21 years old.

**ALL APPLICANTS MUST GO THROUGH OUR ENTIRE ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS - WE DO NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.

DOG ADOPTION FEES

Our adoption fee for dogs is $450 - that includes a wellness exam, all age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing when age appropriate, heartworm treatment if necessary, worming, microchip and registration, flea/tick treatment. PLEASE NOTE - we do offer discounted adoption fees to families adopting more than one dog, senior dogs and dogs with special needs when possible.

Regarding our adoption fee: We are often asked, "Why do you charge "so much" for a rescue pet? Why not just place it in a "good home"?" The answer is because we need adopters who are willing to support ALL of our rescued animals, not just the one they are adopting. A young, healthy dog might cost us $250-$400 in (discounted) vet care to prepare it for adoption, and many people will want to adopt that dog. An older dog or a special needs dog or a dog with health issues can easily cost us $500-$2,000 in veterinary expenses, and it may require months of foster care to prepare such a dog for adoption. Yet for a senior dog or a special needs dog, we can only ask a minimal adoption fee, and it may be a long time until anyone comes forward to adopt it. Fees from the younger, more adoptable dogs help offset the cost of caring for the others who need us. Most of our dogs have a sad story to tell, and some have suffered through years of neglect or abuse. We hope that you are willing to help us offer a better life to ALL of our animals by supporting them through our adoption fees. Without these adoption fees, we would not be able to save the lives that we save.

Cat Adoption Fees

Our adoption fees for cats and kittens is $150 cat/kitten. Our cats/kittens have received all age appropriate vaccines; spay/neuter surgery, FIV/FELV testing, worming, microchip and registration, and flea/tick treatment.
