Shadow's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Shadow's Story...
Shadow is a very sweet, smart and lovable, 60-pound, five-year-old, male Cattle Dog/American Bulldog-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Shadow is great with most other dogs – even small ones, but not larger ones – especially those who have not been neutered. He knows basic commands and takes treats gently from your fingers.

He is housebroken and behaves well during baths. Because he still jumps up when excited, he’s probably best in a home without small children. He’s been working with a trainer since his rescue and has learned some great manners!

He is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested negative.

To meet and possibly adopt Shadow, please contact Kat at kbudrean@hotmail.com or Ruth at 773-430-7768. His adoption fee of $200 benefits FCACC. He is currently kenneled in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Chicago American Bulldog/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Cattle Dog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Bulldog/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Cattle Dog breeders who help with American Bulldog/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
