Ferdinand's Story...
I came into animal control after I'd be hit by a car. I was in serious need of medical treatment and WAAL offered to pay my bill and make sure I got better; they saved my life!

The doctor found out I had broken my tail and my pelvis. Unfortunately my tail wasn't savable and it had to be amputated. I'm a little self conscious of what the ladies will think of me now... but my foster mom promises me I'm still handsome. I'm on strict kennel rest for another 6-7 weeks and then I'll be ready to be adopted. I promise I'm worth the wait though! Since I need peace and quiet so I can rest I'm not sure what I think of cats, dogs or kids just yet, but check back for more info!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ferdinand, a Wichita Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Wichita, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Wichita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wichita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wichita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wichita paves the way for another one to be saved.
