Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dear Prospective Adopter,
St Patty's day will soon be here. I don't know whether I am Irish but am hoping for a little luck. I could be your pot of gold. My name is Ellie and I am a 1 1/2 year old, 34 pound hound mix. I had some trouble with my knees but Broken Tail Rescue was nice enough to pay for surgery so that my knees no longer wobble or cause me pain. I am an active gal who would probably enjoy jogging or hiking once I get the green light from my vet. I am doing really well. I can go for walks now but jumping and running are still no-nos. Going for walks is so much fun and I am great on a leash,if I do say so myself. I love people and attention. A dog buddy would be fine too. Haven't met any cats or kids yet. I am great in my crate (give me a soft blanket and some toys and I am good as gold). I will even go in by myself. I have had some training so can sit on command and wait nicely while you get my food ready. I even wait for a releasing command ('okay) before I dig in.
My dream home would have lots of toys, soft beds, good food and people who want to spend time with me. I will repay you with tail wags and snuggles for years to come.
I so deserve a good home with a loving family. Won't you open your hearts and let me in? Hoping we can meet soon. Love, Ellie
Ellie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and negative for Heartworm and Lyme Disease.
Ellie is being fostered in Franklin, MA.
The adoption fee is $350.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label
