My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roper is a true, sensitive sweetheart that is looking for a loving family who is patient and willing to invest the time he needs to adjust to a normal life. Roper was taken away from a very abusive person, knowing only punishment and confinement. Roper is guessed to be between 3-4 years old and in great health. Roper is good with other dogs and he would do best in a home with another buddy that is not dominate or pushy with him but a friend to bond to. Roper does not have a high prey drive and has seen cats with no reaction to them. A home with no kids would be best simply because he was never socialized outside of the barn and Roper can become frighten with to much activity and loud noises. He would not do well if you are looking to take him to busy places with lots of people, noise, activity or public dog parks. We are looking for a home that will encourage Roper to come out of his shell with time, patience and training. He is a very loving and affectionate boy seeking approval and loyalty to give and receive from his family. He loves to play with toys, run and wrestle with his doggie friends and does now enjoy car rides and going to quiet places that he can sniff lots of new things. Because Roper is afraid meeting new people we are asking that you and your family make at least one trip up to fort morgan to meet him. This way he does not have to much to deal with to much all at the same time. If the meet and greet goes well we will bring him to your home for a 2nd visit. We appreciate your time with getting to know him on his terms and promise you will not be disappointed.
