My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

cause I'm peanut butter and you are jelly, and we're so happy on our little piece of bread. I'm so glad that I discovered, you in the cupboard I hope you're glad too. From now on, we'll be stuck together, but what could be better than being stuck with you? - from 'Peanut Butter And Jelly' by InsideOut
Well our little Jelly was not discovered in a cupboard. She was discovered shivering and frightened in a noisy crowded high kill southern shelter and we just couldn't leave this petrified baby girl stay there another second. She was pulled by rescue and placed into a loving foster home where her life has turned around to wonderful things. Jelly is a 5 month old tri colored hound mix currently weighing 25 lbs. We think she will be around 35 lbs when full grown.  Jelly was pretty timid at first but she has slowly learned to trust the love of people. She figured out right away how to go outside for potty business (with some coaching from her other furry foster siblings). Her foster mom says she is very good when crated but she is trusted with full run of the house when foster mom is gone. This precious little girl is great with other dogs. In fact she has come out of her shell and picked up on a lot of her house training because of the other dogs in the home. We think Jelly would do best if she had a home with a furry brother or sister to hang out with. She will likely be a little shy at first with her new family but will soon show her loving personality. Jelly is also very good with the cats and the 8 year old human in the house. She enjoys cuddling up on the couch but she won't jump up just yet (she's still learning it's okay to be part of the family) so foster mom just picks her up and let's her know she's invited. Our adorable pooch quickly learned how to go for walks on leash and admittedly she more than exceeded our expectations. She even walks as part of a trio of pups and keeps up with the big dogs (and in step!). Jelly is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She has overcome some pretty scared things for a puppy but has persevered and thrived. She is ready to take that last leg of her journey and find that special family who will give her a lifetime of love in her forever happy adoring home. So if you are interested in being the peanut butter to our Jelly then we would love to help you get stuck together for a lifetime.
