My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE FROM HANK'S FOSTER MOM:

Hank is a beautiful 6 year old red tick coonhound. He has beautiful markings and just one look into his big brown eyes and he will melt your heart. Hank gets along great with other dogs but he really does not play with them. He is a loner. He will chase cats if they run but he has not hurt them. Hank is amazing around children. He never knocks them down or jumps on them.

Hank was a working dog that is doing a great job becoming a pet. He will need some work. He is house trained and will sleep in a crate. He loves to be outside but he needs to be on a training collar. I only have to use the beep noise to correct him. Hank will need to go to a home with a completely fenced in yard. He has worked so hard and has made extreme progress.

Hank was one of the main attractions during My Furry Valentine and a great hit at our adoptathon last Saturday. He is a good looking dog with a heart of gold. If you are looking for a dog full of LOVE then Hank is the one. Ain't nothing but a hound dog as Elvis would say but this one is special.

HANK was pulled from a hoarding situation over the summer in West Virginia. The situation was so bad that some of the hounds were isolated in hot boxes. HANK had an ear infection and went to the vet. The vet liked him so much he decided to keep him there until he could be completely vetted and a rescue found. HANK has found his rescue with HART! He is approximately four years old, 60 pounds. HANK is both dog and people friendly.
